Animal Crossing-Inspired ‘Earthlock’ Spin-Off Announced For Switch

Snowcastle Games,

Developers of the Earthlock role-playing game, have unveiled the sequel to the successful indie game, Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure. But it is very different from its predecessor. Taking cues from Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure takes you to a beautiful magical island that becomes your playground. On the island, you can collect crafting materials and enlist the help of the animals that live on the island, so it’s a pretty unique take on the life and farming sim genres!

The game director and co-founder of Snowcastle games had this to say about the upcoming game in an official PR:

“We’re so excited to finally be able to share the next step in the Earthlock franchise with players. With Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure, we want to use the rich world we created for Earthlock to offer players a whole new experience, backed up by detailed creation and customization mechanics. We can’t wait to tell you more about our early access plans for the game as we prepare the full release for PC and consoles, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy the game’s announcement trailer!”

As you can see, there’s no exact date yet, but when it does, you’ll be able to shape Iconey Island to your liking, which likely means you’ll be able to cover the island with decorations and useful buildings. You will also have your own village where you can do all your crafting and management tasks, so think of it as your base of operations.

it’s the same looks really beautiful and retains that signature Earthlock art style. Just keep your nose to yourself! Although it is a direct continuation of the RPG, Earth Castle 2, it has been announced, Snowcastle Games is still hard at work on it. Unfortunately, the team isn’t sure if this will make it to Switch. However, we look forward to learning more about Iconay Island in the coming months.
