Lawn Mower Racing Game (Switch eShop)Lawn Mower Racing Game (Switch eShop)

Publisher: end games / Developer: end games

Release date: February 25, 2021 (USA) / February 25, 2021 (UK/EU)

Let’s get down (ahem) to the point – Lawn Mower Game: Racing is one of the worst games on Switch. Its tracks are ugly and short, its vehicles are ridiculously unresponsive, its lack of any sort of progression system is an insult, and it doesn’t even have a title screen. Whether it’s just a bad joke or a really terrible game, our advice is the same: throw it in the tall grass and forget about it.

Garfield Kart Furious Racing (Toggle)Garfield Kart Furious Racing (Toggle)

Publisher: microids / Developer: Microids

Release date: November 19, 2019 (USA) / November 7, 2019 (UK/EU)

Next, we have a real ball of wool. We always knew that Garfield was something of a rebel, but taking a bad game from six years ago, making it worse, pretending it’s a sequel, and charging Switch owners more than double the price to suffer from it is pretty disruptive stuff. The original Garfield Kart on Steam is very cheap: considering Garfield Kart Furious Racing is a more broken version of the same game, you can buy it instead. Even if you don’t have a PC, you will spend less money.

Renzo Racer (Switch Online Store)Renzo Racer (Switch Online Store)

Publisher: Connections / Developer: Connections

Release date: December 3, 2020 (USA)

Renzo Racer is worth a look if its controls were vastly improved, its encounter system wasn’t cluttered, and its characters didn’t scare you for your life. If these three simple things were fixed, we would recommend that you fork out the $20 he is asking you for. Instead, we recommend that you invest that money into installing a good, secure lock on your bedroom door in case Renzo ever finds out where you live.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers (Switch)Nickelodeon Kart Racers (Switch)

Publisher: Game Mill Entertainment / Developer: bamthang

Release date: October 23, 2018 (USA) / October 23, 2018 (UK/EU)

There are worse games than Nickelodeon Kart Racersbut there are much better ones out there. Given the huge opportunity this IP provides, it’s hard not to be disappointed with the state of Nickelodeon Kart Racers; with more attention to quality and another year of development, this could be an attractive alternative to Mario Kart. Unfortunately, Nickelodeon Kart Racers just aren’t great; derivative mechanics, pathetic character roster, and terrible performance make this a bargain you’ll be glad you missed. If you are absolutely have If you want to play a racing game with Nickelodeon characters, then by all means, go ahead, but we strongly recommend that you give up on this pathetic attempt.

Moorhuhn Kart 2 (Switch webshop)Moorhuhn Kart 2 (Switch webshop)

Publisher: Higgs games / Developer: Higgs games

Release date: April 1, 2021 (USA) / April 1, 2021 (UK/EU)

Mithun Kart 2 takes a game that’s almost two decades old, tweaks the visuals a bit, and then actually removes elements from it (such as character animations and speed settings). Offering just eight tracks would be disappointing at a budget price point, but considering it sells for $30 at launch, there isn’t enough content and quality to justify that price.

Hello Kitty Cruisers (switch)Hello Kitty Cruisers (switch)

Publisher: Rising Star Games / Developer: Maestro Interactive

Release date: April 24, 2018 (USA) / April 26, 2018 (UK/EU)

We like Hello Kitty just as much as other people, but if the next person isn’t seven years old, they won’t be able to enjoy it that much. hello, kitty cruisers. Nothing he does is particularly terrible (other than his weird drift mechanic), but everything is so slow and so simple that a huge portion of Hello Kitty fans will be bored to tears within the two short hours it takes to unlock everything. . Cats and cards seem like an unpredictable mix, that’s for sure.

Race with Ryan (switch)Race with Ryan (switch)

Publisher: game outright / Developer: Uncertain

Release date: November 1, 2019 (USA) / November 1, 2019 (UK/EU)

Putting our opinion of Ryan’s cynical phenomenon aside, Race with Ryan However, this is a slightly below-average kart racer that handles reasonably well but is generally unimpressive, from a pitifully few trails to boring light weapons. Give your children Mario, Sonic, or crash instead of a racer; they may be young, but they are not stupid.

BIG-Bobby-Car - Big Race (Switch)BIG-Bobby-Car - Big Race (Switch)

Publisher: wild river / Developer: wild river

Release date: September 24, 2020 (USA) / September 24, 2020 (UK/EU)

If you have a very young child and are looking for a safe and harmless game to keep them occupied, BIG-Bobby-Car – Big Race is a great option, especially since you can already find the physical version pretty cheap if you shop around. However, for those with double-digit ages, it’s really not that much, and it’s all so poorly optimized that you’ll need a strong tolerance for twitching.
