Blizzard’s Overwatch 2 PvP Open Beta To Launch This April
Though Overwatch 2 was hyped due to the inclusion of PvE gameplay– a game mode that can only be played in the first game during seasonal events such as Junkstein’s revenge- its closed beta will only include PvP Everyone else can play Overwatch 2 and leave feedback by selecting closed beta should arrive at the end of April. Here’s a rundown of what’s coming in the closed beta:
- Team size reduced from 6v6 to 5v5.
- Four new cards

- New ping system
- The long-awaited debut of 31 heroes Residence
- Hero alterations (something Overwatch overdone in the past) with Bastion, Doomfist, Orisa, and Sombra.
Overwatch 2 was first announced back in 2019 at Blizzcon along with a cinematic as well as a gameplay trailer.
Fans began to worry that the game would never come out, exacerbated by the company’s radio silence on the matter while its lead writer Michael Chu and beloved game director Jeff Kaplan left the company in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
