Raven Software has released early patch notes that reveal major changes are coming to Call of Duty: Warzone Vanguard Royale modes. The update will go into effect on March 3, bringing major changes to the health of major players and UAV prices for Vanguard playlists.
With the integration of Vanguard into Warzone, battle royale has received new Vanguard Royale playlists, which are modes limited only to Vanguard weapons and operators. According to Raven Software’s patch notes, the player’s base health in these modes will be increased from 100 to 150, meaning players will now have a total health pool of 300 with armor enabled. This change will affect all unit sizes in Vanguard Royale playlists.

Another major change comes with an increase in the price of a series of UAVs at buy stations from $6,000 to a whopping $9,000 per UAV. Raven Software says this change is due to feedback balancing. Some players like that UAVs appear less often, while others want them to remain available. The developer says the price increase is a compromise, making them always affordable but less user-friendly.
The update will also include a few more bug fixes. The patch notes detailed a fix for an issue that caused some players to get stuck while lying under certain environmental elements, and it will fix a bug that caused Wade’s operator skin to appear headless when assembled. In addition, elements will be tweaked at the Chemical Plant to improve system performance and reduce hitches.
We’ve been happy with the feedback on the Vanguard Royale LTM and are releasing additional balance improvements this week based on your gameplay feedback to date.
When Vanguard Royale returns to the playlist rotation for all squad sizes tomorrow, March 3rd, you can expect the following changes:
The health of the main player will be increased from 100 to 150.
Including armor, players will now have 300 health instead of 250.
We agree with the feedback that Time To Kill (TTK) has gone beyond the best, and we hope this adjustment improves the player’s experience and mood. This change comes along with additional weapon balancing, which remains a key focus for the team.
UAVs are now available at buy stations for $9,000 instead of $6,000.
We have seen both sides of the feedback with the previous change to remove UAV wholesale from buy stations; Some players enjoy the more traditional rhythm of a battle royale, while others lack the ability to more easily push a team in the mid-game. We are encouraged by this compromise, which will keep UAVs affordable but less inclined to be so easy to use.
Our goal with both of these changes is to make the game more balanced, fair, and fun. We will continue to monitor the impact of these changes and make additional updates as necessary.
