Elden Ring Speedrunner Beats Open World RPG In Under 37 Minutes
Productive and experienced Dark souls speedrunner Distortion2 continues to set new speed records in Elden ring. Now he’s beaten ancient ring in less than 37 minutes, which could arguably be the new record for fastest completion time.
In a video posted earlier today, Distortion2 could complete an ancient ring in only 36 minutes and 20 seconds. While speedy community and categories around the old ring are still in the making, it is the fastest “Any%” speedrun in a recent RPG.
The main goal in these races is to reach the end and get to the credits as quickly as possible using any methods and techniques available.
Over time, the speedrunner community around ancient ring forms and starts creating rules, categories, and documenting launches; we’ll likely see players progress through the game doing everything or not using glitches. But now, Distortion2run is still an impressive spectacle, especially when considering how many people it takes weeks to complete a game like Elden ring.
Distortion2 broadcasts every day and is always trying to improve his record, setting himself the goal of reducing the total time to 30 minutes. If you want to watch it live, check out Twitch.
In another ancient ring speedrun news, earlier this week, another YouTube runner could complete an antique ring in about two hours and did it without dying. In the meantime, here I am, spending two hours on most RPG character creation sections.
