You meet Varre at the start of the game, at the first Place of Grace you find when you leave the Lost Graveyard, but you won’t find it again until a bit later. Luckily, Varre doesn’t have as many steps as early quest, but there are a few obscure steps and you could very well get stuck trying to figure out where you need to go next. Here’s what you need to know to complete the Elden Ring Varre quest and how to get to Mogvin’s palace without it.

How to find the Rose Church and talk to Varre in Elden Ring
After you first speak to Varre at the First Step Place of Grace at the start of the game, you won’t find him again until you get to Liurnia of the Lake. It’s also worth noting that Stormvale Castle is skippable, but you need to defeat Godric, return to the Round Table Hold and talk to Enya, who is reading fingers. before you find it in this new location.
The pink church is on a small island almost directly south of Rai Lukaria Academy. When you speak to Varre, he asks for your opinion on what you saw in the Round Table Keep. The alternative, which requires you to kill the Grafted Scion boss you encountered at the start of the game, is through the Four Bell Towers found northwest of the Raya Lucaria Academy. You can race through the giants that spawn here to reach the Place of Grace with four bell towers.
Take the Rigid Sword Key from the highest bell tower, then use it on the second tallest tower in the area. This will teleport you to the Grafted Scion. Once you defeat him, cross the bridge and go up the stairs to your left. You can use the girl’s corpse inside to get the girl’s blood.
Pureblood Knight Medal

How to get to the Mogvin Palace without Varre

The nearest place of grace is the Yellow Anix Tunnel. From here, you need to head north, and once you get to this place, go to the edge of the cliff and find a path leading down a small slope to the south. The path is pretty well hidden by slanted stone pillars – the map above should help you find it.
Once you find the portal, use it to teleport into the dark tunnel. Follow the path until you come to a rock next to the Mogwin Palace.
