Elden Ring: Where To Find The Uchigatana
From Software’s RPG lineup is filled with references to previous games and often includes many of the same weapons that fans have come to love. Elden Ring is no different, and one of the staples of the series that just about every Souls enthusiast will be excited about returning is the long and deadly Uchigatana katana. In this guide, we will point you in the direction of its location so that you can use it for yourself.
Uchigatana explained
The Uchigatana is a katana that requires 11 Strength and 15 Dexterity to wield. While not necessarily the best katana in the game, it nevertheless remains a solid option for just about any type of build, especially those that specialize in accumulating blood loss.
The Uchigatan’s default weapon skill is Sheath Draw, which places a sword in his tabard and then releases it very quickly for an aggressive, high damage attack. This makes him very useful as a beginner for unsuspecting enemies.
The Uchigatana item description reads:
A katana with a long, curved, single-edged blade. Unique weapon of the samurai from the Land of Reeds. The wave-shaped blade boasts extraordinary sharpness, and its slashing blows cause blood loss.
Where to find Uchigatana
The starting samurai class starts the game with the Uchigatan. but for everyone else, it’s still the easiest and earliest katana you can get. It can be found in the Deathtouched Catacombs. which is located in the northern part of Limgrave.
From the dungeon’s Place of Grace,
Follow the linear path down past the first skeleton you see, and then follow the nearby stairs down into a wider area. To the right of the stairs is an alcove with a small and moderately hidden door that you can enter. After entering the door next to the stairs, simply follow the path forward and turn left through the next door. In this room, you will find Uchigatana on a corpse and will now be ready to strike at the rest of the dungeon.
