Get Your Own Life-Sized Mareep Poké Plush For A Shockingly Big Pile Of Poképounds (UK)
A couple of years ago, we discovered that you could buy a large Mareep plush toy for about $500. We know it’s absolutely adorable, but 500 dollars? You can get a real Magikarp for 500 Pokédollars in Pokémon Red and Blue. We don’t know what the actual conversion rate is and you may not be able to compress your digital Magikarp. But Gyarados is worth it, right?
In any case, if you want your own life-size Marip in real life and live in the UK – as well as you don’t feel a pinch of Poké in the wallet section – you’re in luck! That UK Pokémon Center just stocked up on a big plush poke so you can hug him.
The collection contains more than just Electric Sheep Pokémon, which are 45 inches in size. You can also pick up a big 34″ Lapras, a 31″ Psyduck, a huge 59″ Slowpoke, and a relatively slender 23 ¾” Pikachu with – get this – ribbon. You could probably use one of these as a replacement for Mareep. We’re sure no one will notice…
Look, if the Pokémon Center is offering a Slowpoke as a pillow back, and the UK branch is pushing for a massive Snorlax, then we’re obligated.
Considering the whole thing costs between £100 and £430, would we like to see this plush Mareep come with some extra features, or perhaps turn into a life-size Ampharos? A 6-foot plush is out of the question. At least this time there are no additional shipping costs (the UK store delivers all items for a flat fee of £5 per order).
