GTA 5 expanded & enhanced remaster offers 4K, ray tracing, 60 fps options
When Grand Theft Auto 5 makes the leap to current generation consoles – PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X – in March, Rockstar Games’ latest iteration of the crime epic will offer three graphics settings that will allow players to tailor their experience to their needs. On Friday, Rockstar in detail as “expanded and enhanced” versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X gta5 will work on those platforms.
gta5Fidelity Mode is “tuned for the highest visual quality” and is rated at 30 frames per second. The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will run at native 4K resolution with ray tracing enabled. On Xbox Series S, 4K resolution will be upscaled in Fidelity Mode.
The game’s performance mode is “tuned for the most responsive gaming experience” and is rated at 60fps. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, this 60fps gameplay will run at upscaled 4K, while the Series S version runs at 1080p.
The Performance RT mode is exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions. gta5delivering a hybrid of the previously mentioned modes with increased 4K resolution, ray tracing, and a 60fps target.
Rockstar
Rockstar repeated its wider visual enhancements for gta5, which include faster loading times; improved lighting, shadows and reflections in the water; and an increase in population, traffic diversity, and vegetation density. Accordingly, new versions gta5 will also include “highly detailed new explosions”.
On PlayStation 5, Rockstar also introduced the new DualSense controller haptic feedback and adaptive trigger features. Players will experience new sensations from weather effects, directional damage, road surfaces and, accordingly, explosions.
Rockstar also announced that players will be able to transfer their gta5 story saves (and their progress in GTA Online) on the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions – and this one-time transfer brings cross-generation and cross-platform. Starting Friday, players can upload their saves via Rockstar Games Social Club.
Improved and Extended Versions Major car theft five will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X on March 15 digitally, with physical versions of the game arriving sometime in April. gta5Updated versions were announced in June 2020 and were originally scheduled for release in 2021. The original games were released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013.
