Halo Infinite co-op coming some time in Season 2, other fixes much sooner

It turns out the Halo Infinite team has a lot of work to do,

and a new blog post reveals what their priorities are and what they think about the release schedule going forward. Right now they are mainly working on the completion of the second season, which will be released on May 3rd. They are also working on a collaborative game for the campaign, which will not be released at the same time as the second season, but during it. Then they’re also working on Forge so you can make your own stuff, as well as season 3 coming out later this year.

However, they are primarily focused on fixing what they call “hot list” problems, your mistakes, and fixing the unacceptable quality of life and the like. It could be Spartan Career issues, anti-cheat holes, or Big Team Battle matchmaking issues that this model suffered from. The second season will focus on the Lone Wolves. “Spartan loners are hunters. Pathfinders. They are resourceful improvisers, operating deep in enemy territory without resupply or support,” says 343 Industries. The basic concepts for this are above, while the Fracture armor core looks very, very cool this season.

Also coming to Season 2 are an arena map called Catalyst and a Big Team Battle map called Breaker. New modes will include The Last Spartan, Land Claim, and an updated King of the Hill. More information about the second season will appear in April.
