Knockout City Is Going Free-To-Play, Velan Studios Will Replace EA As Game’s Publisher
Some changes are coming to Knockout City – with the developer Velan Studios, who announced that the game will completely reset the “price tag” and become free from the 6th season. In the same announcement, the studio also revealed how it will take over EA’s responsibilities as the game’s publisher under this new model. Whelan also took the opportunity to thank EA Originals for supporting and bringing the game to the world.
Welan believes that taking on responsibility for publishing will allow him to work more closely with the gaming community and “fully realize” his vision for the game in the long term:
“We couldn’t have brought Knockout City to the world without the incredible support of EA Originals, but now that we’re moving to free-to-play, the natural next step for us is to take on publishing responsibility and work even more closely with our community. We have exciting plans for Knockout City, and creating our own publication will allow us to fully realize our vision for the long-term future of this game.”
The team will share more about Knockout City’s transition to F2P in the coming days, weeks and months. How do you feel about this ad? Will you try this game now that it’s free? Leave a comment below.
