Lost Ark March Update Will Bring New Endgame Content, Including Its First 8-Player Raid
Lost Ark will soon receive its first content update since launch, with new islands to explore, a new quest storyline, and the first in-game Abyss Raid coming to Amazon’s free-to-play MMORPG in March.
For players who have already explored much of what Lost Ark has to offer, along with the new islands, a new questline will be added related to finding Kada, the Guardians’ first killer. Players will need to complete the main quests in Yorn, as well as Whispering Island and Bamboo Island of Illusion, in order to access the new endgame quests. Item level 1100 is recommended for new content like Estero Island.
The March update will also bring a new end-game activity to a game already filled with them in the form of Void raids. These boss fights are similar to the existing four-player Guardian raids, but against much more difficult opponents that require eight players to work together. Abyss Raid Guardians consist of three separate phases, each with different mechanics and attack patterns that players need to learn in order to win. Each stage has its own rewards that can be received once a week.
Additional details and official patch notes for the March update will be posted closer to its scheduled release. Since Lost Ark has been available in Korea since 2019 and has been regularly updated with new content and classes since launch, there is a lot of content that has yet to make it to the North American and European versions of the game.
