Much Anticipated Horror RPG ‘Omori’ Has A Physical Edition On The Way

Anticipated indie games often tend to release on the eShop. Then a few months later, when many have hacked and bought the download, a special or limited physical edition opens up. Luckily, this won’t happen with Omori, as Fangamer has been confirmed to sell the physical edition for $34.99; pre-orders are open, with delivery to begin June 17. Interestingly, the game still only has a “spring” window on the online store, but apparently, the official release date will be announced in the coming weeks.

Released on Steam in December, the game extraordinary response, with over 30,000 user reviews being “extremely positive”. It’s a game that was intriguing since it was originally planned for the 3DS, with EarthBound styles and a “horror RPG” approach. It seems to be one of those games where creativity and writing have a big impact on players.

Explore a strange world full of colorful friends and enemies. Navigate through the bright and mundane to uncover a forgotten past. When the time comes, the path you choose will determine your fate and perhaps the fate of other people.
