Netflix’s One Piece Series Adds Six More Cast Members

We’re still not sure how Netflix will visualize Monkey D. Luffy’s rubber arms, and legs live, but the streamer is in full swing preparing its adaptation of the One Piece anime. The studio has now announced six new cast members. Deadline reports. New cast members include Morgan Davis (Evil Dead, Evil Dead: Uprising), Ilya Isorelis Paulino (Coed Sex Lives), Aidan Scott (Action Point), Jeff Ward (The Huxes), McKinley Belcher III (“Marriage Story”), and Vincent. Regan (300). The 1000-chapter manga and 1000-episode anime One Piece follow Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of the Straw Hat Pirates searching for a treasure called One Piece. The Netflix series consists of ten episodes.

Here is the casting we know so far:

  • Monkey D. Luffy – Inyaki Godoy (Go, young man! Who killed Sarah?)
  • Zoro – Make new (Ruroni Kenshin: The Final Chapter, Pacific Rim: Uprising)
  • Name – Emily Rudd (“Fear Street”, “Hunters”)
  • Usopp – Jacob Romero Gibson (Greenleaf, All Rise)
  • Sanji – Taz Skylar (Boiling Point, Villain)
  • Kobe – Morgan Davis
  • Alvida – Ilya Isorelis Paulino
  • Helmeppo – Adian Scott
  • Buggy – Jeff Ward
  • Along – McKinley Belcher III
  • Garp – Vincent Regan

Stephen Maeda and Matt Owens will write and serve as showrunners. One piece-producing with Tomorrow Studios (Cowboy Bebop, Snowpiercer). Netflix has yet to set a release date for the One Piece adaptation.
