Netmarble Opens Pre-Registration For the King Of Fighters Allstar Street Fighter V Collaboration

The two iconic fighting game franchises are set to team up once again, this time on the mobile scene, as Netmarble announced pre-registration for the King Of Fighters All-Star co-op game with Street Fighter V starting March 24th.

The co-op event will feature many unique missions, dungeons, and rewards, as well as a special story arc exploring the in-game causes of the two worlds colliding. Along with the previously announced Ryu and Chun-Li as playable characters, Street Fighter series villains M. Bison and Akuma will be added, along with new SFV roster member Luke.

Akuma will join King Of Fighters Allstar on March 24th.

Fans who pre-register will receive a coupon for 500 rubles – the in-game currency of KOF Allstar – as well as a ticket to call Collab fighters, which can be exchanged for one new fighter. The event is scheduled for the period from March 24 to April 19, so the draft ticket must be purchased before this date.

Street Fighter is the latest big name to invade The King of Fighters Allstar, joining fellow fighting games Guilty Gear, Tekken, and Dead or Alive as well as World Wrestling Entertainment and anime franchises such as Seven Knights and The Seven Deadly Sins. The partnership comes a month after the launch of the latest installment in KoF’s core franchise, The King of Fighters XIV, and the announcement of Street Fighter 6.

This isn’t the first time Street Fighter and The King Of Fighters have teamed up, the most recent being the 2007 SNK Card Fighters DS. Other notable examples are Capcom vs. SNK 2: Millionaire Fighting 2001 and SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom.
