New Kirby trailer shows off new Switch game’s most peculiar features
IN Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the fearless pink raincoat finds himself in a strange post-apocalyptic world where nature has taken precedence over civilization. But in true Kirby style, he heeds the call to rescue Waddle Dees, who have been kidnapped by the mysterious Pack of Beasts. To do this, Kirby must use his copying abilities to save the world and uncover the secrets of this new realm. He also gets a gun. You’ll get them, Kirby.
A new preview trailer for the March release of Nintendo Switch details some of the gameplay features, including the highly anticipated Mouthful Mode, in which Kirby takes the form of any object he can wrap his mouth around. In addition to the car we saw in the first trailer, Kirby also becomes a pipe, a ring, and a ladder. It also swallows large amounts of water and becomes a sentient water balloon. We love to see it.
The trailer also talks about some of the other game modes, including… just relaxing in Waddle Dee Village. Players can also fight bosses in the Colosseum, indulge in some mini-games, and participate in a co-op mode where a second player can join the Waddle Dee bandanna.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land Coming to Nintendo Switch on March 25th. A free demo is available now on Nintendo eShop.
