New Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent Trailer Emphasizes A New Nicolas Cage Bromance
Lionsgate Films has released a new trailer for The Unbearable Weight of Great Talent. The film is due out in theaters on April 22.
In what promises to be Nicolas Cage’s peak film. Cage plays an enhanced version of himself as Nic Cage. A respected the indebted actor who becomes involved with a drug lord and later becomes a CIA informant. . Unlike previous trailers, this new trailer highlights the nascent legal romance between Cage and the drug lord played by Pedro Pascal. Their meeting culminates for each of them in certain unpleasant personal moments that quickly change into their mutual respect and quick friendship. The CIA, which is already on the lookout for the kingpin, witnesses Cage approaching him and sets the actor a tough acting challenge: keep the friendship alive, steal the evidence, and then kill his new best friend.
Cage said in an interview last summer that he would
“Never see this movie” because it was made “for the public…it’s too hard for me to go to a premiere and sit there with everyone. me.”
The actor recently landed the role of Dracula in the upcoming monster movie Renfield alongside Nicholas Hoult as the main henchman and Awkwafina. Cage also previously played a literary critic who believed he was a vampire in the 1989 horror-comedy Kiss of the Vampire. Cage continues to gain momentum with some of the strongest reviews and hype in years following his role in this year’s acclaimed drama Pig. At 58, the actor said in an interview this September that he would never retire.
