Nintendo Has Delayed Advanced Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp Due to the War in Ukraine

Re-Boot Camp is being delayed due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. In light of recent world events, we have made the decision to postpone Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. Which was originally scheduled to release on the Nintendo Switch on August 4th. Please stay tuned for updates on the new release date.

The Switch remake of the first two Advance Wars games was scheduled to release on April 8,

But Nintendo announced on Twitter. That it had decided to delay the release of the game “in light of recent world events.” These events relate to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. While Advance Wars does not depict any real-world conflict or show combat in a realistic manner. Releasing a war-themed game during such a crisis can be considered disrespectful.

A new release date for Advance Wars 1+2 has not been announced. Perhaps Nintendo decided to wait for the de-escalation of the conflict in Ukraine before making any decision about the release date. A new release date for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was announced just a month ago after the game was pushed back to 2022.
