Norman Reedus Injured On The Walking Dead Set

Actor Norman Reedus suffered a “mild” concussion while filming The Walking Dead. Geoffrey Chassain, the actor’s spokesman, confirmed the news. Deadline on Wednesday.

“He is recovering well and will be back to work soon,” Chassin said.

At the time of this writing, the circumstances of the injury are still unclear. It has not yet been revealed whether the incident happened while filming Reedus or just on set. The news originally broke through the Fandemic Tour, a Florida comics and pop culture convention where Reedus and other cast members were due to appear this coming weekend. Convention published the news about the cancellation on March 15as well as the fact that Reedus “wants you to know how badly he feels about the situation.”

The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Melissa McBride, Seth Gilliam, Kaylie Fleming, David Morrissey and Sarah Wayne Callies are still scheduled to appear at this weekend’s event in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia World Congress Center. The injury also affected an extended streak that resulted in her scheduled final day being delayed.
