Now’s your chance to grab a 4K 43-inch PC and console gaming monitor for $340 off

I booked this 43″ Gigabyte 4K gaming monitor for a Black Friday deal last November and it sold out pretty quickly for $900. Fortunately, you have a second chance, and it is even sweeter than the first. Newegg took $340 off this screen just for the fun of it – thanks to a $200 rebate, a $100 refund, and a $40 coupon code – turning this PC and console screen hero into a steal of sorts in $760 at Newegg.

It’s a very large 43-inch screen, which is why it’s great for both PC and console gaming. You probably wouldn’t want to do more than that for the exclusive use of a PC desktop, nor would you want to do less for your living room. It’s a Baby Bear bed made from PC gamepads, and we’re Goldilocks.

Anyway. There’s a lot to like about this panel: it’s 4K, of course, which makes the image crisp and stunning; it is compatible with HDMI 2.1, which makes it easy to connect the console and PC at a high refresh rate; and speaking of refresh rates, it can run at 144Hz at 4K through that HDMI 2.1 connection. Combined with a 1ms MPRT response time and FreeSync Premium Pro, this will give you a smooth gaming experience if your GPU can deliver high-definition frames at that speed.

The fact of the matter is that you will need a high performance GPU to power this monitor. Though if you have, say, an RTX 3080 or better on hand, you probably won’t want to settle for anything less than 4K.

With this Gigabyte Aorus screen you can do one little trick that I have tried with the Gigabyte M28U is KVM. KVM is a way to control the mouse and keyboard on different devices at the same time. When you switch HDMI between, say, a laptop or gaming PC, the monitor’s USB hub switches any peripherals connected to it.

In essence, this eliminates the need to constantly fiddle with the back of the monitor. Pretty neat.
