Play Destiny 2 On Steam Deck And You May Get Banned
Following Valve’s recent launch of Steam Deck, Bungie clarified that Destiny 2 is not supported on the machine and also stated that anyone who tries to bypass the approved measures to play the game will be banned.
In a post on Bungie Help Website the developer has made it clear: “Destiny 2 is not supported for play on Steam Deck or on any system using Steam Play Proton unless Windows is installed and running.”
The message continues: “Players who attempt to launch Destiny 2 on Steam Deck via SteamOS or Proton will be unable to log into the game and will be returned to their game library after a short time.”
In addition, any player attempting to circumvent the approved systems for Destiny 2 will be banned. “Players who attempt to bypass the Destiny 2 incompatibility will be banned from the game.
Destiny 2 isn’t the only known game not officially supported on Steam Deck. Prior to this, Epic Games confirmed that the hugely popular battle royale game Fortnite is not natively supported on the machine due to concerns about cheating and compatibility issues.
In other Steam Deck news, Valve has released an update that fixes joystick issues after players report drift issues.

It’s just that there’s nothing better on the market right now,” said reviewer Alessandro Barbosa.
As far as Destiny 2 is concerned, the game’s new big expansion, The Witch Queen, has just been released. To learn more, check out GameSpot’s unfinished review of Destiny 2: The Witch Queen.
