Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl update adds Arceus with a twist
Two powerful Legendary Pokémon, Arceus, and Darkrai will travel to Pokemon diamond as well as shining pearl for the first time. Each Pokémon has its own set of circumstances that players must complete in order to unlock them, but Arceus will be available to those who have Pokémon Legends: Arceus save files starting from March 16th.
To unlock Arceus, you will need to save data from a completely different game. Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and have version 1.3.0 diamond as well as shining pearl downloaded. Players will be able to obtain the Azure Flute item and face Arceus in Spear Pillar if they defeat the Elite Four and obtain the National Pokédex.
Getting Darkrai will work a little differently. Pitch-Black Pokémon will be part of the Mystery Gifts limited-time event running from April 1st to April 30th. This event will give you a membership card to see it. As with Arceus, you’ll need to make sure you’re in the right place in the game to meet him. To see Darkrai, you need to enter the Hall of Fame, get the National Pokédex, and complete the Cresselia in-game event.
All three games are Pokemon Diamond Diamond, Pokemon shining Pearl well as Pokémon Legends: Arceus – available on Nintendo Switch.
