Pokemon Go Services Suspended In Russia And Belarus

Pokemon Go developer Niantic Labs has suspended its games in Russia and Belarus due to the ongoing Ukrainian conflict.

The decision comes in response to Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, which has drawn worldwide condemnation. Other gaming companies have gone the same way, including Microsoft, CD Projekt Red, Sony and Electronic Arts. EA even took the extra step of removing all Russian teams and leagues from both FIFA 22 and NHL 22.

Several other game companies came out in support of Ukraine both before and after the Ukrainian government called on game companies to suspend operations in Russia and Belarus, which support Russia in the campaign, due to the conflict.
