Random: Phil Spencer Did A “Crash Course” In N64 And PlayStation When He Joined Microsoft’s Xbox Team
Multiple times, we’ve heard that Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has been a lifelong video game fan. During an appearance on the Xbox Podcast earlier this weekend, he briefly touched on his history with the Nintendo 64.
“You have to have three hands; this is a controller made for someone with three hands, as great as games are… yes, it was cool because it was like two controllers in one.”

During his time as Xbox boss, Microsoft worked several times with Nintendo to release various products such as mine craft and banjo in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and, more recently, the release of Rare for the N64. Banjo-Kazooie in the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack.
