Rollercoaster Tycoon Touch Adds 20 Acres To All Parks In New Update
Rollercoaster Tycoon Touch will soon see a massive expansion providing players with a whole new landscape in which to build the theme park of their dreams.
The game’s latest update increases the play area grid from 3×3 to 6×6, more than doubling the amount of space available for players to build their parks. The increase in size is also due to the increase in thematic seasons to 12 per year, which will provide many opportunities to fill this additional space.
The press release jokes that the development team has spent “most of the past year working on this long-planned expansion, including investment in the land itself, expanding infrastructure, and strengthening training for new park employees and artists.” The press release also mentions future announcements of new rides, shops and restaurants that players will be able to choose from, but does not provide any specific examples of what will be en route.
Rollercoaster Tycoon Touch is the mobile version of the popular theme park building simulator. It is available for download on iOS and Android devices. The original version, Rollercoaster Tycoon, was first released in March 1999 for the PC and became one of the best-selling games on that platform that year.
