Sakurai Wins ‘Most Valuable Creator’ At Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2021

Ultimate creator Masahiro Sakurai was recognized as Japan’s most valuable video game creator in 2021 by the Dengeki Game Awards. Sakurai was able to get ahead of the Resident Evil Village development team, the Um Musume: Pretty Derby development team, Sega’s Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, and Naoki Yoshida (FFXIV Producer). Sakurai shared the news with his Twitter followers and thanked everyone who supported him and his team.

Game of the Year in 2021 was Capcom’s latest Monster Hunter game. Rise of the monster hunter for Nintendo Switch and PC

Metroid Horror dropped out of the Action/Adventure category – fighting off Hades and the Return. And Buddy Mission Bond, published by Nintendo, won the Best Adventure Game award.
