Someone Bought SilentHill.com, Seemingly to Troll Konami

Silent Hill publisher Konami apparently let the series’ domain name expire, and someone bought it just to make fun of the company.

Silenthill.com now features the only real tweet from Silent Hill 2 and 3 art director Masahiro Ito, who said he regrets developing the series’ iconic villain Pyramid Head.

The change has been seen by pc gamer, who also noted that Konami failed to renew the Silent Hill domain in 2019, but was able to buy it again in this case. While Ito won’t say why he regrets making Pyramid Head, PC Gamer also acknowledges that the developer previously tweeted that Konami was “using [Pyramid Head] in many titles does [Pyramid Head] cheaper” before deleting the post.

Konami currently has a page for the Silent Hill series. on your own website so it may be that the company doesn’t see the need to own Silenthill.com – but it’s not the Best watch anyway. Silent Hill has been dormant since 2012, and the series includes eight major games, from the1999 original (which IGN said was amazing) to 2012’s Silent Hill: Downpour (which IGN said was bad).

The series reared its head again in 2014 when Konami released PT, a playable teaser for a new game called Silent Hills directed by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro, but the project was canceled and removed from the PlayStation store a few months later. later.

There were reports last year that Konami was working on a new Silent Hill project, but we haven’t heard anything about it since. Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama said last week that he would like to create a psychological horror game reminiscent of the original.
