Steam Deck Emulation Looks Fantastic On Valve’s New Handheld
The obvious use case for Steam Deck is to play new (or recent) PC games on the go. So let’s see how the PDA will change in a few weeks after the release.
YouTuber Estimated Time of Arrival Prime tested a bunch of older consoles on Valve’s new device, and while some of the older games work as you’d expect, there are some surprising results on more modern hardware as well.
I don’t have a Steam Deck, so I haven’t been able to test any of these games/emulators myself, but if there were anything that would make me buy one for myself other than the emulation potential itself, it would be that unifying frontend(Launchbox/Bigbox) you can see at the beginning of the video that looks like a dream.
