The Boys season 3 trailer: Karl Urban’s Billy gets a power upgrade
End of season 2 boys, saw Hughie (Jack Quaid) admit that he was tired of trying to outsmart the mega-evil corporation Vought. “I still want to fight Vought,” he says. “I just want to do it right and not cover myself with so many guts.” But if the trailer boys Season 3 is a sign that a lot more people will blow up on Hughie and his friends.
The trailer that Prime Video released during its panel at SXSW 2022 teases a lot of bloody antics as the Boys keep trying to take down Vought and the Seven. Perhaps most interestingly, Billy (Karl Urban) got his own laser eyes?
More than that, boys take aim at some of our pop culture favorites again, cynically parodying things like Kendall Jenner’s Pepsi commercial (this time with an A-Train offering the police can “Turbo Rush”) and superboy bands – perhaps along with a musical number . between Kumiko (Karen Fukuhara) and Frenchy (Tomer Kapon)? There is also a brief overview of what looks like an American flag dildo; Make whatever you want out of it. Basically, it’s all very much in line with the brand. boys taken to the extreme most recently in an animated spin-off, Boys: Devilish.
The trailer offers fewer details than glimpses of what happens after Stormfront. But as seen in the trailer, stars Quaid, Urban, Anthony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominic McElligott, Laz Alonso, and Chace Crawford will return for the new season. Jensen Ackles also joined the team, finally freed from restrictions supernatural being the foul-mouthed counterpart of Captain America (presumably).
season 3 boys debut on Prime Video with three episodes on June 3rd. New episodes of the eight-episode season will be available every Friday.
