This March, the Media Indie Exchange (MIX) will host a massive launch event to celebrate a decade of showcasing the best indie games from around the world. Here’s how you can watch and play along with MIX’s latest indie presentation.

MIX 10th Anniversary Showcase Schedule

The MIX 10th Anniversary Showcase will take place on Tuesday, March 22nd and will include two separate events within the online showcase. The show will kick off with MIX’s online presentation, which will consist of game announcements, trailers, gameplay demos, and more featuring developers from around the world.

This stream will be followed by a Black Voices In Gaming showcase focusing on games created by black developers as well as games featuring black protagonists, as well as interviews with black developers in the indie space.

Here is the full schedule for March 22:

  • MIX Online Presentation: 10:00 AM PDT, 6:00 PM CET.
  • Black Voices in games: 12:00 pm PT, 8:00 pm CET.

How to watch

Both events will be streamed live on MIX social channels, both twitch as well as YouTube.

MIX also hosts a small private event March 23 in San Francisco to accompany the online showcase, though he warns that both the guest list and playlist will be limited due to Covid concerns. Despite its limitations, this physical event is the first MIX has hosted since the start of the pandemic. For everyone else watching at home, the showcase will also include an event page on Steam, where people can buy or pre-order select games, add games to wishlists, and play future game demos when available.

What to expect

MIX already has a huge roster of games that we can expect to see at the upcoming show, currently numbering over 60 indie titles, with more to come as the show gets closer. The event promises many new announcements, including new trailers and gameplay, as well as conversations with people involved in the creation of these games. A complete list of titles can be accessed here, but it currently includes upcoming indies like Have A Nice Death, Small and, Serial Cleaners, and many more. The full list is extensive and covers a huge variety of genres, playstyles, and art styles.
