There Are Already Mods For The Zelda: Ocarina Of Time PC Port
We’ve been covering an unofficial PC port of Ocarina of Time for some time now,
And it’s close to being finished. So as we get closer to that time, naturally leave people free to come up with a whole bunch of mods. This project was only made possible because the Zelda Reverse Engineering team decompiled the classic N64 last year. Harbor Masters, which is located behind the port, has been testing several different mods and sharing the results with the group. These include things as simple as replacing in-game textures with 4K, as well as widescreen support in the main game and menus, as seen in the video below. VGK Basic moments.
There are also some funnier updates to this port, as Harbor Masters added gyroscope controls to the Hyrule Castle shooting range (which is of course also a benefit of the 3DS version of the game): Then there are the downright stupid ones – or the brilliant ones, depending on who you are. You can see what it looks like when Star Fox’s Arwings invade Kakariko Village, or simply enjoy the much smoother textures and visuals of what many consider to be the best Zelda game ever.
Seriously, who needs 4K textures when you can put Toad’s face all over the game? This can make those ReDeads and Like Likes more tolerable.
