The recall has been extended to include Similac PM 60/40, a specialty formula for infants requiring a reduced mineral intake.

 That FDA urged parents to stop using the recalled infant formula.

Cronobacteria bacteria can cause severe infections, including sepsis and meningitis, the FDA said. Symptoms of sepsis and meningitis infants may experience poor feeding, moodiness, temperature fluctuations, jaundice, and abnormal movements.

2019 and 2021 inspections. The FDA Preliminary Report included inspection documents for September 2019, September 2021, and January-March 2022.
