With only a week left until the release of the Witch Queen expansion for Destiny 2, praise for the narrative campaign was universal. You can read our minds here, but the bottom line is that you have to play in the legendary difficulty mode. Yes, the enemies are thicker but not insurmountable. After years of spending watching story content in Destiny 2 DLC, it’s nice to run into an issue that requires you to really think about things like build and positioning.
In terms of narrative revelations (no spoilers here or in the video, but expect some juicy twists), mission design variety, and the sheer fun of using your guardian’s updated Void abilities, The Witch Queen leaves Destiny 2’s previous Martian dust-eating campaigns. Whether you’re playing alone or as part of a fireteam, the legendary version is a complete experience – and it’s clear that Bungie wants you to play that way because the rewards on offer are so much better.
In this video from Tefti– Experienced content creator and co-host Destiny Community Podcast– he talks about what the campaign offers in terms of both challenges and rewards and gives some tips on some weapons and abilities that will help you emerge from the throne world of Savathun in triumph. Next week, we’ll be taking a closer look at how weapon crafting works in Witch Queen, as well as taking a look at some of the hack builds you can create with the new Void 3.0 system. Trust me, you’ll see what Unstable Ammo does to Le Monark and Graviton Lance in our I Heard You Like Void Wells build.
