The dust has settled a bit on Nintendo Life this week, but we still have a lot to talk about! Major releases this week include amazing Chocobo GPwhich we rather liked, and the classic N64 F-zero X via Nintendo Switch Online, which isn’t bad either. In other news, we got a pleasant surprise when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection was announced later this year, and LEGO announced it would be expanding Super Mario sets with the Adventures With Peach Starter Pack.

Now it’s time to relax and discuss our game plans for the weekend. several meter members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to read our entries and then join in with your own through our comment section. Enjoy!

Hey guys! So this weekend I will definitely play F-zero X. However, I have to make a small confession… I’ve never played it before. I immediately skipped the N64 game and played F-zero GX to death on the GameCube, but this will be my first time with its predecessor! I hope you all forgive me.

Elsewhere I jumped back on Resident Evil practice again with remakes also my favorite game of all time. I will probably go through this weekend and move on to Resident Evil Zero but we’ll see. Maybe I’ll just go back to the beginning and play through the game with Chris Boulder and Jill Sandwich.

Not much new on my end this weekend! I didn’t find much time to play door of death, but I’m close to the first Giant Soul. I do not great not yet in the game and this lack of skill may be affecting my desire to procrastinate, but I’m enjoying it immensely! In particular, I’m a big fan of writing that combines sullenness with dry but warm humor. I also love the way your crow twitches its head when you’re idle for a few seconds. So, yes, I really like it, and it turns out we were right!

I wish it was F-Zero X or Triangle Strategy. I’m sure the NL team is wondering what I’m really doing here.

Hello. This weekend, like everyone else around the world who has a Switch and has any common sense, I will only be playing F-Zero X and F-Zero X. Okay, so I can find a little time to blow some Cuphead – which I just purchased on sale at the online store – and there is a good chance that I will continue to be mercilessly beaten to death in my current playthrough Ghosts and goblins resurrection (this game is VERY HARD) but aside from these flippant digressions, it’s all F-Zero X, the baby. Buckle me up and let me feel those G’s

It’s Gs, right? When you… when you drive very, very fast in a futuristic way? This is Gs. I am a professional race car driver.

Scream at Wave Race 64, 1080° snowboarding as well as Excitebike 64 while I’m at it – we need these games on the service.

Surprisingly, F-Zero X isn’t the only game I’ll be playing this weekend. I also plan to take a good look at Chocobo GP. I’ve never played the original games, so I’m looking forward to seeing what this modern version has to offer. I’m a big karting fan so I’m sure I can handle it and Mario Kart 8 DeluxeBooster Pass in the same month. Great weekend to everyone.

I recently got a copy of Assassin’s Creed: Valhallaand so far I’m totally obsessed! The open-world feels huge, I really enjoyed exploring every nook and cranny on the map. I’m going to continue my walk-through this weekend and try to catch up, ready for the very latest DLC. Dawn of Ragnarok looks fantastic!

This week also marks the 18th-anniversary monster hunter series to celebrate, I’m about to jump on Monster Hunter Rise. With a lot of new event quests, I have a lot to catch up on. Good hunting!

I fondly remember the time during the days of the PlayStation when a new kart racer with big names in the video game canon appeared every week, so I was very excited to jump on the Chocobo GP. As with most games in this ever-emerging genre, this isn’t the invention of the wheel, but I salute this new contender for the Mario Kart 8 crown. Time Loader finally appeared in the online store and became really something special. The turmoil in the Triangle Strategy continues and some difficult decisions have already been made during the week.

Game of the week – F-Zero X. How could it be otherwise? The hardware upgrade from the original SNES game couldn’t be more evident in this super sleek, fluid, fast 60fps extravaganza that now looks sharper than ever. Once I open the X Cup, its endless tracks will last a lifetime, baby!

I don’t know what came over me this weekend… but there are some very specific games that my brain is craving at the moment. I think I see a clear path, so I’ll try to dissect my thought process: of course, new Kirby and the Forgotten Land the demo is in the menu – and I think the inhale mechanic required for all Kirby games made me want to go back to Luigi’s Mansion 3. From here, of course, you think of Mario – and yesterday was March 10 – so I had some strange desire to finish all the post-game content in Super Mario Odyssey? And then, of course, my brain will instantly want to play all the Mario games, so I’m sure Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Rage, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Mario + Bunny Kingdom Battle, and all other Mario games will appear in my backlog. And now you have an idea of my chaotic brain.
